s/l (sounds like)

Sounds like sheropady

This word has gotten me two times. I think it also got me in school, so I feel I should begin a s/l (sounds like) post.  The dictation sounds like (s/l) “Foot care is done by sheropody.”

s/l sheropody = chiropody

s/l shiropody = chiropody

s/l sheropidy = chiropody

s/l shiropodity = chiropody

s/l shiropedy = chiropody

s/l shiropety = chiropody

s/l shiropady = chiropody

There. I hope I got every combination so that anyone else doing a search for a s/l for that word in medical transcription will find the answer here. Including me, but now that I’ve gone to the trouble of typing every s/l variation that I can think of, I likely will never, ever forget again. Have a great day!
